Crimson Desert PC and Console System Requirements Revealed

by Salal Awan

Pearl Abyss has revealed the full system requirements and performance targets for Crimson Desert across PC, consoles, Mac systems, and handheld devices ahead of the game’s upcoming release.

On PC, all configurations require Windows 10 64-bit version 22H2 or newer, 16 GB of RAM, and 150 GB of SSD storage. The minimum configuration targets 1080p resolution using upscaling at 30 FPS, requiring hardware such as an AMD RX 5500 XT or Nvidia GTX 1060 paired with a Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i5 8500.

Higher presets scale significantly in hardware demand. The recommended specification aims for either 1080p at 60 FPS or 4K at 30 FPS using an AMD RX 6700 XT or Nvidia RTX 2080 alongside a Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel Core i5 11600K. For higher performance targets, the high preset aims for 1440p at 60 FPS with GPUs such as the RX 7700 XT or RTX 4070, while the ultra preset targets 4K at 60 FPS with high-end hardware, including the RX 9070 XT or RTX 5070 Ti combined with processors like the Ryzen 7 7700X or Intel Core i5 13600K.

Console versions will offer several graphical modes designed to balance resolution and frame rate. On the standard PlayStation 5, players can choose between a performance mode targeting 1080p at 60 FPS, a balanced mode running at upscaled 4K at 40 FPS, and a quality mode targeting upscaled 4K at 30 FPS. Ray tracing support varies depending on the selected mode.

The PlayStation 5 Pro version introduces enhancements through Sony’s PSSR upscaling technology. Its quality mode targets native 4K at 30 FPS and includes ultra-level ray tracing effects.

Xbox Series X offers performance options similar to the standard PS5, including a 1080p 60 FPS performance mode and upscaled 4K options targeting either 30 FPS or 40 FPS. The Xbox Series S version is more limited, offering a performance mode targeting 720p at 40 FPS and a quality mode targeting 1080p at 30 FPS with ray tracing disabled.

Pearl Abyss has also confirmed support for macOS systems running version 15.0 or newer with at least 16 GB of RAM. Minimum requirements include Apple M2 Pro, M3, or M4 chips, which target resolutions between 720p and 900p. Higher-end configurations, such as M3 Ultra or M4 Max, can target 4K resolution. Systems running macOS 26 or later can use frame interpolation technology that increases the target frame rate from 30 FPS to 60 FPS.

Portable play will also be supported on ASUS ROG Ally devices. The standard ROG Ally targets 720p at 40 FPS using FSR 3 frame generation, while the more powerful ROG Ally X can reach 1080p at 60 FPS in performance mode or 1080p at 30 FPS in quality mode.

Crimson Desert is scheduled to launch on March 19, 2026. Developed by Pearl Abyss using the studio’s BlackSpace Engine, the game follows mercenary Kliff as he journeys across the war-torn continent of Pywel. The title will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and macOS.
