Crimson Desert has surpassed 3 million wishlists, according to developer Pearl Abyss, as the open world action adventure approaches its global release later this month.
Sharing the milestone on social media, the official account wrote, “3 million wishlists! A huge thank you for making #CrimsonDesert one of your most anticipated games. We’re in the final countdown to March 19—prepare yourselves for the world of Pywel!” The message signals strong pre-launch interest ahead of the title’s debut.
Crimson Desert is developed and published by Pearl Abyss using the studio’s proprietary BlackSpace Engine. Initially conceived as a prequel to Black Desert Online, the project evolved into a standalone, single-player, narrative-driven experience during development.
The game follows Kliff, leader of the Greymanes, as he journeys across the war-torn continent of Pywel in an effort to reunite his mercenary group and confront rival factions. Combat blends melee weapon-based encounters with elemental abilities, while additional systems such as crafting and trading expand the overall experience.
Crimson Desert is scheduled to launch worldwide on March 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PC, and macOS.
