Crimson Desert Surpasses 4 Million Copies Sold Worldwide

Crimson Desert has crossed another major sales milestone, with Pearl Abyss confirming that the open-world action title has now sold through 4 million copies worldwide.

The announcement was shared via the game’s official account, stating, “#CrimsonDesert has sold through 4 million copies worldwide. Thank you to all the Greymanes who have been a part of this journey with us and for all of your incredible love and support.”

The milestone builds on what was already a strong commercial debut for the game. Released on March 19, 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and macOS, Crimson Desert sold over 2 million copies within its first 24 hours and reached 3 million units within five days.

Developed over a seven-year period with a reported budget of around $133 million, the title represents one of Pearl Abyss’s most ambitious projects to date. Set in the continent of Pywel, the game follows mercenary Kliff and his Greymane companions through a narrative-driven experience that blends large-scale exploration with combat-focused gameplay.

Despite its commercial success, the game launched with some criticism tied to technical performance and gameplay systems, which also contributed to a short-term dip in the company’s stock. Since release, Pearl Abyss has rolled out multiple updates aimed at improving stability and refining mechanics, helping maintain player engagement as sales continue to climb.
