Crunchyroll Confirms Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Will Not Stream Until 2026

Crunchyroll has confirmed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle will not be available on its streaming platform until at least 2026. The highly anticipated anime film, which has already set multiple box office records, will remain exclusive to theaters throughout 2025.

In a conversation with Popverse, Mitchel Berger, Executive Vice President of Global Commerce at Crunchyroll, emphasized the company’s strategy to prioritize the film’s theatrical run. “Go see [Demon Slayer Infinity Castle] in the theater because the theater is the only place you’re going to be able to see this film in 2025,” Berger stated. He added, “If you want to see it, go see it in the theater because that’s the only place it’s going to be available.”

The movie adapts the Infinity Castle arc from Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga series, following directly after the fourth season of the anime. Unlike recent compilation films such as To the Swordsmith Village and To the Hashira Training, the Infinity Castle project is structured as a trilogy of feature-length films due to the arc’s scope and dramatic pacing.

Directed by Haruo Sotozaki and produced by Ufotable, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle – Part 1: Akaza Returns premiered in Japan on July 18, 2025, with Aniplex and Toho handling distribution. Crunchyroll, through Sony Pictures Releasing, rolled the film out in select Asian markets in August before a wider international release the following month.

The film has since grossed more than 605 million dollars worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Japanese film ever and the seventh-highest-grossing movie of 2025 overall.

For fans hoping to revisit the spectacle from home, the wait will be long. Crunchyroll’s confirmation means streaming access is off the table until 2026, leaving theatrical screenings as the only option throughout the coming year.
