CD Projekt Red is set to reveal full details of Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.3 in a special developer livestream tomorrow. The event, announced via the game’s official social media channels, will be broadcast on July 16, 2025, at 5:00 PM CEST. This presentation will offer players a detailed look at the newest update for the acclaimed open-world role-playing game.
Associate Game Director Paweł Sasko, who is managing the development of Cyberpunk 2, will host the livestream alongside Adrien Jouannet, Lead Designer at Virtuos. Both studios have worked closely on the ongoing support and expansion of Cyberpunk 2077. While exact details of Patch 2.3 remain undisclosed, the presence of senior figures suggests that notable gameplay updates or new content could be part of the showcase.
In addition to the update news, CD Projekt Red confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will officially launch for macOS on July 17, 2025. This will mark the game’s first appearance on Apple’s ecosystem, following its original release on other platforms nearly five years ago.
Recent reports have further fueled interest in the game’s future, indicating that additional post-launch content may be in development. A Senior Writer at Virtuos, a studio that has played a key role in co-developing Cyberpunk 2077, disclosed on their professional profile that they have been working on new side quests since April 2025. The writer’s responsibilities include analyzing character voices and collaborating with the narrative team, indicating that this work is officially tied to CD Projekt Red’s development efforts.
Although CD Projekt Red had previously positioned Phantom Liberty as the game’s only major expansion, this new information suggests that smaller downloadable content could still be planned. Whether these are limited to side quests or hint at more expansive updates remains to be seen, but the possibility has certainly renewed community speculation about the game’s ongoing support.
Since its original release in December 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has undergone significant post-launch improvements, culminating in the highly praised Phantom Liberty expansion in 2023. The game most recently arrived on the Nintendo Switch 2 in June 2025.
