The January 13 hotfix for DAVE THE DIVER focuses on stabilizing gameplay following the latest update, addressing several progression-blocking issues and technical faults across core systems. The patch primarily targets game launch problems, boss encounters, and save-related errors that could prevent normal progression.

Additional fixes improve sea exploration behavior, mission flow, restaurant management interfaces, and controller support on Mac. While this update does not introduce new content, it aims to ensure a smoother and more reliable experience across supported platforms.

  • Fixed unnatural movement when traversing Glacier Passage while affected by poison

  • Fixed the Research tab displaying an N marker despite no remaining dishes to research

Mission Fixes

  • Fixed flashlight size scaling incorrectly with screen resolution during the Pet Squid Selgio mission
  • Fixed missing cutscenes during Yoshie’s flashback sequence
  • Fixed unintended restart locations after dying during the Lost Baby Manatee mission
  • Fixed cutscenes triggering at incorrect times during the Treat Ramo mission

Sea People Village Fixes

  • Fixed quest markers persisting after completion under certain conditions
  • Fixed temporary map UI shaking when exiting buildings in specific situations

  • Fixed a post Chapter 4 entry issue where a character failed to move after evolution when using Discipline or Heal
  • Fixed item and ingredient detail pop-up windows remaining open incorrectly
  • Fixed unnatural character dialogue, movement, sound, and cutscene behavior in certain situations
  • Corrected text typos and clarified select in-game expressions
  • Fixed Sushi Shop windows that could not be closed with mouse clicks

Mac-Specific Fixes

  • Fixed controller malfunctions with certain wired connections and button inputs
  • Supported controllers include Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox Elite, Flydigi Direwolf 3, EasySMX X10, and 8BitDo Pro 2
  • Supported connections include wired and wireless
  • Vibration functionality is not supported

This hotfix updates DAVE THE DIVER to version v1.0.5.1781 on Windows and v1.0.5.639 on Mac. The update is available on Steam, and players are required to install the latest version for the fixes to take effect.
