The first hour of gameplay from Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima Productions’ action-adventure game, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, has leaked ahead of the game’s release.
The first hour of gameplay footage from Death Stranding 2: On the Beach begins with a scenic view of the terrain in Mexico. The protagonist, Sam Porter Bridges, is seen carrying Louise. He then proceeds to traverse across the mountainous region towards his destination, as the camera pans out to give a wider view of the area.
As Sam gets closer to his destination, he is momentarily halted by a bunch of BTs, who then allow him to be on his way. It turns out the whole thing is a hologram to keep the base hidden. Upon entering the base, Sam and Louise are seen spending some time together. In the meantime, Fragile arrives at the base, and spends some time talking to Sam. There appears to be a recap of prior event, after which Sam is briefed on his next mission.
Episode 1 of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is titled Sam. The protagonist gears up and loads his cargo before heading out to his new destination, while Fragile takes care of Louise at the base. He gets caught in a sandstorm as he reaches a broken bridge. It greatly limits his view of his surroundings and makes it challenging for him to proceed. Eventually, the weather returns to normal as he reaches the Automated Public Assistance Company (APAC) base. Upon delivering the cargo, he has a conversation with a holographic figure, after which he connects the base to the chiral network.
The leaked gameplay footage comes from one of several early physical copies of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. One such individual is Reddit user trapdave1017, who shared some details regarding the game’s Graphics modes on PS5 Pro. Read about it here.
