Death Stranding 2 Will Feature An Accessibility Option To Let Players Clear Boss Fights Without Engaging In Combat

Kojima Productions’ upcoming action-adventure game, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, will Feature an accessibility option that will allow players to clear boss fights without engaging in combat.

During the latest episode of the Koji Pro radio broadcast (via), Death Stranding 2: On the Beach director Hideo Kojima shared that the game include a new special feature that will allow players who are inexperienced with action games to clear boss fights.

Kojima elaborated that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will offer an extra option on the game over screen below the “continue” option. This new option will let players clear the failed boss fight by showing images and text descriptions of the battle akin to a visual novel. This will allow them to retain the narrative context of these battles without having to engage bosses in combat.

During the same radio broadcast, the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach director shared that the game is now 95 percent complete. His exact words were, “It’s at about 95% now… It feels like it is 10 o’clock (PM), speaking of 24 hours, Koji Pro’s DS2 is at 10 o’clock (PM), there are 2 hours left.” Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is set for release on June 26, 2025. Given that the game’s development is confirmed to be 95 percent complete, there is plenty of time for Kojima Productions to polish up the experience before launch.

Death Stranding: On the Beach is set for release on June 26, 2025, exclusively for PS5. According to the game’s official PlayStation web page, it will feature “incredibly varied environments filled with secrets and unique challenges.” It will also offer players a range of options to tackle both human foes and otherworldly entities, including aggressive, stealthy, and non-hostile approaches. The story will continue where the original left off. Like in the first game, the actions of one player can affect how others interact with its world, and vice-versa.
