Death Stranding 2 Update 1.06 Patch Notes
- This patch addresses stability improvements and minor bug fixes.
During the Death Stranding World Strand Tour 2 event in London, game director Hideo Kojima shared his thoughts on Death Stranding 2: On the Beach‘s launch reception. Speaking with host Geoff Keighley, Kojima expressed gratitude toward both critics and fans, noting his satisfaction with the game’s positive reviews and player response.
He also admitted mild disappointment that the game’s Easter eggs had been discovered so quickly, partly attributing this to his own retweets of fan posts revealing the secrets.
Later in the same event, Kojima was joined by Norman Reedus, who reprises the role of protagonist Sam Porter Bridges, and Léa Seydoux, who returns as Fragile. Seydoux noted that the sequel had been under development for close to eight years, while Reedus expressed excitement over the overwhelmingly positive reception.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has cemented itself as one of the PlayStation 5’s top-rated titles, currently ranking sixth among all major releases, including multi-platform games. Its critical reception places it alongside acclaimed exclusives like God of War: Ragnarok and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
The game is currently available exclusively on the PS5.
