Delta Force developer TiMi Studio Group has been accused of copying an asset from Facepunch Studios’ Rust. After being called out, the studio has issued an apology.
Alistair McFarlane, COO and Company director at Facepunch Studios, took to Twitter/X to call out Delta Force developer TiMi Studio Group on using an asset from Rust in the game without consent. He asked for the plagiarized artwork to be removed from Delta Force, and mentioned that TiMi Studio Group should have reached out if it wanted to collaborate.

McFarlane highlighted that the 3D model for C4 explosives in Rust (as seen on Lead Weapon and Prop Artist Pilgrim’s ArtStation profile) was shown off in Delta Force’s new Season launch trailer, as seen in the comparison below.

In a subsequent post, McFarlane shared that Delta Force developer TiMi Studio Group reached out to him and apologized for the plagiarism, and that the matter has been resolved. He jokingly added, “Cinematic is great though, hopefully next time we see a Rust Hazmat in their next season.”
TiMi Studio Group responded by thanking McFarlane for his understanding of the situation. The developer mentioned that the asset was purchased from an online marketplace, and that it wasn’t properly verified. It took full responsibility for the mishap, however. TiMi Studio Group appreciated McFarlane allowing the cinematic to stay up as is. The Delta Force developer stated that it is tightening its pipeline to make sure this doesn’t happen in future.
The official Delta Force Twitter/X account recently revealed the launch trailer for the game‘s latest Season. The post stated, “Bombs are planted, time’s ticking, and Zero Dam is one step away from devastation. Work your wonders and bring peace to Ahsarah, the new season that is now LIVE on PC, mobile, and console!”
Delta Force is available across Windows PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
