SEGA and CyberConnect2 have officially released a new pre-launch trailer for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2, just days ahead of its early access debut. This latest video revisits key events from the anime, capturing the emotional and intense journey of Tanjiro Kamado through the Entertainment District, Swordsmith Village, and the Hashira Training arcs. Additionally, fans get a look at the expanded versus mode, which now supports over 40 playable characters and includes newly introduced features like Dual Ultimates and Gear customization.
The pre-launch trailer not only serves as a refresher on the anime arcs featured in the game’s story mode but also confirms that Muzan Kibutsuji, the series’ main antagonist, will become a playable fighter in versus mode via a free post-launch update. Moreover, the developers have announced plans for an Infinity Castle Arc Character Pass, further expanding the game’s post-release content. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition by August 5 will receive up to five days of early access, allowing them to begin their journey on August 1, ahead of the standard August 6 release for the Steam version.
