The game is now available worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam, launching alongside a new trailer that showcases its expanded story arcs and enhanced combat features.

Building on the foundations of its predecessor, The Hinokami Chronicles 2 follows protagonist Tanjiro Kamado through key battles and emotional moments from the “Entertainment District Arc,” “Swordsmith Village Arc,” and the “Hashira Training Arc.” The sequel introduces new characters, updated visuals, and refined mechanics, further immersing players in the world of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

Alongside the release, SEGA confirmed that a post-launch Infinity Castle Arc Character Pass will introduce more content over time. In addition, fan-favorite antagonist Muzan Kibutsuji will be added as a playable character in VS Mode through a free update.

VS Mode also features new elements such as Dual Ultimate attacks and Gear mechanics, enhancing both online and offline battles.

Players with save data from the original Hinokami Chronicles or the recent Sweep the Board! game will receive special character unlocks and costumes as a bonus. These include Academy versions of core characters like Tanjiro and Nezuko, as well as special attire for side characters like Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 is available in two editions. The Standard Edition, priced at $59.99, includes the base game and digital unlocks for Academy Rengoku and Academy Uzui. The Deluxe Edition, priced at $69.99, adds characters such as Tengen Uzui, Iguro, Sanemi, and Himejima, along with exclusive costumes and voice packs.

With overhauled gameplay mechanics, a stronger narrative focus, and a growing roster of characters, the sequel aims to build on the popularity of the original title. For fans of the anime and competitive fighting games alike, The Hinokami Chronicles 2 delivers a more robust and varied experience.
