Digimon Story: Time Stranger Demo Arrives Ahead of October Release

by Ali Haider

Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed that a free demo for Digimon Story: Time Stranger will be available beginning September 10 in certain regions, followed by a wider release on September 11. The demo will allow fans to play through the opening sections of the role playing game, with progress carrying over to the full version once it launches in October.

Players who explore the demo thoroughly can expect to build up their Digimon roster early, giving them a head start when the complete adventure becomes available. Alongside the story portion, the demo will also feature a mode set in Central Town, offering the opportunity to freely explore one of the game’s central locations before release.

The official Digimon Games social media account teased the event by posting, “Heads up, Agent – looks like there’s something going on in Shinjuku. Ready to go check it out?” The post confirms that fans will not have long to wait before getting hands on with the title.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger is being developed by Media.Vision and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It marks the seventh installment in the Story sub series and the first new entry since 2017’s Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory. Notably, it will also debut the franchise on Xbox platforms and introduce a full English dub for the first time. The global release is set for October 3, 2025, with Japan receiving the console versions a day earlier on October 2.
