A new expansion for Digimon Story: Stranger has been officially announced, with Bandai Namco confirming that additional content is planned for release in 2027. The announcement was made during Digimon Con, though no further details about the expansion were shared.

The reveal was brief, offering only confirmation that a large-scale expansion is in development. No information regarding its scope, features, or story content has been disclosed at this time.

Digimon Story Time Stranger originally launched on October 3, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X S, and PC. The game centers on the Digital World of Iliad and follows an agent of the organization ADAMAS who travels back in time to prevent a catastrophic event known as the Shinjuku Inferno.

Since its release, the title has received post-launch support through a three-part Season Pass. These downloadable content packs introduced new story episodes and additional Digimon, including Alternate Dimension, GAKU RAN, and Anti ParadoX. Each update expanded the roster with new Mega-level Digivolution paths and alternate forms.

The game is also scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on July 10, 2026, extending its reach to additional platforms ahead of the newly announced expansion.

For now, the 2027 expansion remains without concrete details, with more information expected to be revealed at a later date.
