Bandai Namco has announced that Digimon Story Time Stranger is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on July 10, bringing its monster-taming role-playing experience to Nintendo platforms for the first time. Developed by Media Vision, the game previously launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, where it has sold more than 1 million units.

Digimon Story Time Stranger places players at the center of a crisis threatening both the human world and the Digital World. Taking on the role of an agent from the organization ADAMAS, players are drawn into a large-scale event that puts the fate of both realms on the brink of collapse. Progression revolves around collecting, taming, and forming bonds with Digimon, then evolving their abilities to succeed in strategic, turn-based battles. More than 450 Digimon are available to recruit and develop throughout the adventure.

Bandai Namco describes the title as an accessible entry point for RPG fans, while still offering depth through its combat systems and creature progression. Players will travel between the human and digital realms, as well as across different points in time, as the story unfolds.

On Nintendo Switch 2, players will be able to choose between two graphics modes. Quality Mode targets 4K HDR at up to 30 FPS when docked and Full HD at up to 30 FPS in handheld mode. Performance Mode runs at Full HD with up to 60 FPS in both docked and handheld play.

Pre-orders are now open for the game on Nintendo Switch platforms. Players who pre-order will receive the Uniform of a Certain School costume set, an Adventure Item Set, and the Digimon Agumon (Black) and Gabumon (Black).

The Nintendo Switch version of the Season Pass includes three DLC packs, each adding five additional Digimon and a new story episode. The Season Pass also contains the Golden Moai farm item, which can be used to decorate the Digifarm. These DLC packs will become available individually in the months following launch, either through the Season Pass or as standalone purchases.

Bandai Namco has outlined three digital editions for the game. The Standard Edition includes the base game and the pre-order bonuses. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds Cyber Sleuth Set costumes and the Season Pass. The Digital Ultimate Edition builds on the Digital Deluxe Edition with additional costume packs, three extra side missions, early unlocks for special versions of Agumon and Gabumon with their Digivolution conditions already opened, Public Safety Suit costumes, a Special Supplies Set, and a Cyber Sleuth background music pack.

With its large Digimon roster, expanded battle systems, and story-driven structure, Digimon Story Time Stranger aims to continue the evolution of the long-running series while introducing a new audience on Nintendo platforms when it launches on July 10.
