Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the second season pass DLC for Digimon Story Time Stranger, with the new content scheduled to launch in January 2026. The announcement comes as the RPG surpasses a major commercial milestone, having sold more than 1 million copies worldwide since release.
Titled Additional Digimon and Episode Pack 2 Gaku Ran, the upcoming DLC expands both the roster and the narrative. The pack introduces new Digivolution routes for several Mega level Digimon, including BanchoLillymon, BanchoStingmon, BanchoGolemon, and BanchoMamemon. These additions give players fresh progression paths and new strategic options when building and evolving their teams.
Beyond Digimon upgrades, the DLC also delivers a new story episode centered on Hiroko Sagisaka, one of the game’s key characters. The episode is presented as a dedicated questline, offering additional narrative context and character development that ties directly into the broader storyline of Time Stranger.
Developed by Media.Vision and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment America, Digimon Story Time Stranger positions itself as a full-scale RPG experience rather than a traditional spin-off. The game follows players as they travel between the human world and the Digital World Iliad, navigating a crisis that threatens both realities. Time travel plays a central role, allowing the story to explore new corners of the Digimon universe while introducing previously unseen lore.
Gameplay revolves around recruiting, training, and bonding with Digimon, with more than 450 creatures available to discover. Combat is turn-based and heavily emphasizes customization, with success tied to how well players develop their Digimon and leverage their unique abilities against standard enemies and large-scale boss encounters.
Digimon Story Time Stranger is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam. Access to the second season pass DLC requires ownership of the base game. Bandai Namco has released a trailer showcasing the new content ahead of its January 2026 release, offering a closer look at the Digimon and story elements included in the pack.
