Digimon Story Time Stranger Update Enhances Bond Mechanics and Fixes Progression Bugs

by Ali Haider

Bandai Namco has released a new patch for Digimon Story Time Stranger, available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The October 10, 2025 update (versions 01.000.004 / 1.5.1.0 / 20280266) introduces meaningful enhancements to the Bond system, making the relationship between Digimon and their partners more influential in battles. The update increases the activation rate of Extra Strikes, boosts critical hit chances, and introduces a new system where higher Bond levels raise both item and rare drop rates during combat. Only the Digimon with the strongest Bond in the active party will affect these drop bonuses.

In addition to gameplay adjustments, the patch resolves multiple critical issues that affected progression, performance, and stability. Fixes include addressing save data transfer errors on Steam, resolving blocked progression in several areas such as the “Factorial Area” and “Abyss Surface,” and correcting crashes linked to specific combat and menu actions. Numerous visual, model, and text-related improvements have also been implemented to further polish the overall experience.
