Nintendo has released version 1.1.0 for Drag x Drive, available starting September 25, 2025. This update introduces local wireless play, player levels, and new customization options such as setting team colors. Players can now also track play history and view version information directly from the in-game menu.
The update further enhances the online experience with wait list support for full parks, adjustments to matchmaking, and improvements for both 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 gameplay. Alongside these additions, several bugs have been addressed, including crash issues, user record tracking, and the balancing of shot success rates.

General Updates
- Local wireless games can now be played via Local wireless park from the Mode tab of the X Menu.
- Added play history, viewable under Stats in the Help tab of the X Menu.
- Player levels have been introduced, displayed on the X Menu. Levels increase with XP but are not used in matchmaking.
- Players can now choose between Set as Blue or Blue/Red for their team color under Display Options in Settings.
- Adjusted depictions such as game-start animations, lighting within parks, and light timing at top speed.
- Version information is now displayed under the Help tab of the X Menu.
Online
- Players can now join a wait list when a public or friend park is full.
- If selected, the system will attempt to connect when a space becomes available.
- Re-selecting public park while inside one now prioritizes a different park.
- Adjustments increase the likelihood of 3-on-3 games in public parks.
- Changed start positions for 2-on-2 games in public parks.
- Score is now displayed when using the spectator camera.
- Online bots will now pass to players raising their hands or using the “Hey” reaction, similar to offline bots.
Fixed Issues
- Resolved a bug where records were not created under Search for Users You’ve Played With.
- Fixed crashes that occurred when starting the game or entering a park.
- Corrected a bug where shot success rates for pre-landing shots were calculated from the wrong position.
- Success rate is now based on the last ground contact (jumping point), as originally intended.
- No changes were made to shot success rates based on orientation toward the hoop.
Drag x Drive is a 2025 sports video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch 2. The title blends arcade-style action with wheelchair basketball-inspired gameplay, offering 3v3 matches designed to showcase the Joy-Con 2’s motion controls. Initially revealed during the Nintendo Switch 2’s debut presentation, the game launched on August 14, 2025.
