Bandai Namco has announced that a new major DLC pack is coming soon for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, bringing a wide range of additional content to the 3D arena fighter. The upcoming downloadable content will introduce new characters, costumes, stages, a new mode, and additional battle attacks, further expanding the game’s already massive feature set.

Alongside the paid DLC, a free update has also been confirmed. The update is scheduled to launch on January 26, 2026, Japan Standard Time, and will add a new single-player mode titled Mission 100. This mode is designed to provide additional solo challenges for players looking to test their skills outside of traditional versus matches.

The developer has also clarified that both the major DLC and the free Mission 100 update will arrive later on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. No specific timing has been provided for those versions, indicating that the updates will roll out on those platforms after their release on other systems.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is a 3D arena fighting game developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It serves as the fourth main entry in the Budokai Tenkaichi series and is built using Unreal Engine 5. The game features a roster of more than 200 characters and emphasizes fast-paced, large-scale battles that mirror the visual style and intensity of the Dragon Ball anime.

The title originally launched on October 11, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows. It later arrived on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on November 14, 2025. Since release, Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft have continued to support the game with ongoing updates and additional content.

The developer has also confirmed a substantial Season 2 DLC pack planned for Summer 2026, which will include Super Saiyan Bardock and Super Android 17. The newly announced major DLC coming soon adds to this roadmap, signaling continued long-term support for the title across multiple platforms.
