Dragon Ball Game Project Age 1000 may have been inadvertently revealed as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 following a discovery on an official Bandai Namco channel. The development was highlighted by the account DBsHype on X, which noted that the Bandai Namco Southeast Asia YouTube channel placed the Age 1000 trailer inside a Xenoverse 3 playlist.
While it remains possible that the categorization was an internal mistake, the fact that it appeared on an official account has led to speculation that Age 1000 may be the formal title for Xenoverse 3 rather than a separate project.
Dragon Ball Game Project Age 1000 was officially announced with a planned 2027 release window. The title is set 1000 years after the era of Goku, presenting a distant future in which the original Z Fighters have become legendary figures. The game features original character designs created by Akira Toriyama prior to his passing in 2024.
Set in the year Age 1000, the project depicts Earth as a world inhabited by humans, Majins, and Namekians, with Saiyan bloodlines described as diluted but still present. The protagonist, identified by the initials GS and seen wearing Capsule Corp attire, appears capable of transforming into a Super Saiyan despite the centuries that separate him from the original generation of warriors.
While the setting shares chronological similarities with Dragon Ball Online, the project has been described as a standalone action role-playing game rather than a massively multiplayer experience. Additional gameplay details are expected to be revealed at Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 in Los Angeles on April 18 and 19.
For now, Bandai Namco has not formally confirmed whether Dragon Ball Age 1000 is in fact Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3. However, the playlist listing has prompted renewed attention toward the project’s identity, and clarification may arrive in the coming months.
