Square Enix has released Update 1.0.1.0 for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, coinciding with the official global launch of the title on October 30, 2025. This day-one update enhances the experience across all platforms, introducing new English voice acting for select story scenes, additional gameplay tutorials, balance adjustments, and multiple quality-of-life improvements.
The patch refines both the player and enemy AI systems, enhances performance stability, and introduces two new accessories—Anti-Freeze Earrings and Asbestos Earrings—in Dragon Quest I. Square Enix strongly recommends that all players connect online and install the update before beginning their adventure to ensure optimal gameplay and access to all new features.
