DreadOut Remastered Collection Quality of Life Update Improves UI and Achievements

The latest Quality of Life update for DreadOut Remastered Collection focuses on addressing long-standing bugs and improving overall usability. The patch resolves achievement progression issues, corrects audio problems, and introduces interface enhancements designed to better align the experience across platforms.

In addition to bug fixes, the update adds new in-game features, including expanded media access and improved input handling. These changes ensure players can complete the full achievement set without blockers while benefiting from a more polished UI and UX experience.

Achievements

  • Fixed an issue where the Astral Showreel achievement did not trigger correctly.
  • Removed the Move along. Nothing to see achievement.
    • Change made to mirror the console player experience.
  • Added the Stay Awhile And Listen achievement.
    • Added to mirror the console player experience.
  • Ensured all achievements can now be completed without progression blockers.

Audio Fixes

  • Fixed missing audio during the KOTD Limbo flashback sequence.

UI and UX Improvements

  • Added a dynamic input prompt system.
    • UI button prompts now update automatically when a controller is connected in-game.
  • Fixed an issue with resolution selection errors in the graphics settings menu.
  • Improved overall UI and UX consistency.

New Features

  • Added an in-game comic reader.
  • Added an in-game soundtrack player.
    • DLC content remains available within the game files, providing multiple ways to access the content.

The latest Quality of Life update is now available for DreadOut Remastered Collection. DreadOut Remastered Collection launched on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on January 16, 2025, with the PC version releasing on May 14, 2025.
