Dune Awakening Update 1.3.5.0 Adjusts Combat Balance, Vendor Costs, Vehicles, and Stability

Dune Awakening update 1.3.5.0 introduces combat balance adjustments, vendor changes, and multiple gameplay fixes across vehicles, dungeons, and user interface systems. Dungeon bosses now resist slowing effects, energy weapon mitigation has been increased in overmap dungeons, and the Dueling Ring vendor has seen significant pricing changes.

The update also resolves a range of technical issues, including crashes, character transfer errors, and mission blockers. Stability improvements and quality of life updates aim to streamline progression, with several long-standing edge cases now addressed.

Resources, Building, and Crafting

  • Increased the Iodine Pill cost at the Dueling Ring vendor from 80 to 800 Solari
  • Added a limited weekly stock of 10 Iodine Pills at the Dueling Ring vendor

Combat

  • Removed slowing effects from ranged and melee hits against dungeon bosses to prevent large parties from easily subduing melee bosses
  • Increased overmap dungeon boss energy weapon damage mitigation from 50 percent to 72.5 percent
  • Reduced difficulty of Wreck of Tyche encounters by replacing a portion of rapier wielding NPCs with sword wielding NPCs

Vehicles

  • Restored missing ornithopters to the Vehicle Backup Tool under specific conditions involving travel to the Neo Carthag Duelling Ring and Harko prior to Hotfix 1.3.0.3
    • Issue occurred if players mounted and dismounted a bike during the Smugglers Run mission before traveling to the Neo Carthag Duelling Ring

Worldbuilding and Exploration

  • Updated dungeon entrance pop up to display recommended item tier and Augment grade for selected difficulty level
  • Replaced the pentashield door with a wall in the starting area of the Ruins of Old Carthag during the Deadly Poison journey to prevent confusion

User Interface

  • Added functionality to hide messages from specific text channels in the HUD
  • Clarified message describing requirements to access Landsraad and Specializations

Technical and Stability

  • Improved server and game client stability
  • Fixed a crash that could occur before players reached the ornithopter to escape the Old Carthag facility
  • Resolved multiple edge cases where Character Transfers could fail with error M72
  • Fixed an issue preventing returning player pack redemption after character transfers without logging into the origin World
  • Fixed an issue where traveling to password protected Hagga Basin could incorrectly prompt for a password
  • Addressed an issue that could block or prevent access to Chapter 2 missions

Resources, Building, and Crafting

  • Restored Crew Chief Stillsuit Garment and Dune Dancer Stillsuit Garment, which had disappeared from the game and player inventories
  • Fixed crafted Augmentations not being recyclable
    • Augmentations can now be recycled to recover part of their crafting cost
    • Recycling related Traits now properly support Augmentation crafting
  • Fixed an issue where a backed up base could fail to snap to its origin if the sub fief console intersected with the environment

Combat

  • Fixed multiple issues related to the Magnetic Attractor affecting players
    • Prevented inability to aim abilities or lock on with a rocket launcher
    • Stopped grenades from colliding with the attractor field
    • Prevented mines from attaching to the attractor field
  • Fixed an issue where the boss in Testing Station 195 could deal damage to himself

Vehicles

  • Fixed an issue granting vehicular mining yield bonuses without training in the Gathering specialization track

Worldbuilding and Exploration

  • Fixed missing collision issues in Testing Stations 24, 136, 152, and 195 that allowed shortcuts to bosses

Story, Journey, and New Player Experience

  • Fixed an issue preventing completion of the Harnessing the Power of the Storm mission if the boss was killed before collecting all required items

Landsraad and Deep Desert

  • Fixed an issue where some players reaching Rank 5 with a faction were not properly aligned with it

User Interface

  • Fixed an issue where the player menu toggle could become stuck on controllers in Chapter 3 dungeons until another tab shortcut was used

Dune Awakening is an open world survival massively multiplayer online game developed and published by Funcom in collaboration with Legendary Entertainment. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game features a seamless world structure, deep crafting systems, and vehicle combat. It was officially released for Windows PC via Steam on June 10, 2025, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S versions scheduled for late 2026.
