EA Details Battlefield 6 Unlocks Available Through Battlefield 2042 Battlepass

Electronic Arts has shared new details on how players can unlock cosmetics for Battlefield 6 through the current Battlefield 2042 Free Battlepass. The announcement follows the release of Update 9.2.0, which marked the beginning of the “Road to Battlefield 6” event.

The developer confirmed that themed items spanning different eras of the franchise will be included, ranging from Battlefield 1 to Battlefield 2042. Each unlock is tied to a specific tier in the Free Battlepass, with rewards including player card icons, soldier skins, vehicle skins, and weapon packages. According to EA, multiple items can be earned within the same tier.

The full list of unlocks is as follows:

  • Tier 8 – Battlefield 1 era: Player Card Background “Storm of Steel,” Weapon Package “Western Front,” Player Card Icon “In the Trenches,” Player Card Title “Hellfighter”
  • Tier 19 – Battlefield V era: Weapon Package “Muller,” Player Card Background “Tides of War,” Player Card Title “Good Soldier,” Player Card Icon “Firestorm”
  • Tier 30 – Battlefield Bad Company 2 era: Player Card Background “Heart of Darkness,” Vehicle Skin “Aurora,” Player Card Icon “Good times,” Player Card Title “Power Surge”
  • Tier 40 – Battlefield 3 era: Vehicle Skin “Blackburn,” Player Card Background “World of Fire,” Player Card Icon “Wake Island,” Player Card Title “Misfit Actual”
  • Tier 49 – Battlefield 4 era: Player Card Background “Maker of Peace,” Soldier Skin “Commander,” Soldier Patch “Don’t Look Back,” Player Card Title “Valkyrie,” Dog Tag “Blood in the Water,” Player Card Icon “Megalodon,” Player Card Background “Tombstone Enlisted”
  • Tier 60 – Battlefield 2042 era: Soldier Skin “Sovereign Soldier,” Soldier Patch “Burning Sky,” Dog Tag “Blackout,” Player Card Backgrounds “Test of Time” and “Evolution,” Player Card Icon “No-Pat,” Player Card Title “Non-Patriated”

To help players unlock these rewards in time, EA has scheduled additional XP events. Double XP weekends will run until the Free Battlepass concludes on October 7, while the final two weekends will grant triple XP. The studio also noted that it will continue monitoring player feedback and data to ensure progression remains fair.

Battlefield 6, developed by Battlefield Studios and published by EA, is set to launch on October 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
