EA SPORTS FC 25 Title Update 17 Adjusts Tackling, Ultimate Team Rewards, and ICONs

EA SPORTS has released Title Update 17 for EA SPORTS FC 25 across all platforms, delivering notable adjustments aimed at refining the overall experience. A key gameplay change targets the responsiveness of failed tackles, now allowing longer recovery times to prevent immediate repeated tackles, especially for hard challenges. Ultimate Team sees fixes to Premium Pass reward collection, while Career Mode receives an updated roster of available ICONs, which will be activated shortly through a server release.

Further refinements in the update address several elements of the visual and presentation layer, including revised button callouts, hairstyles, kits, equipment, stadium assets, trophies, and badges, alongside correcting placeholder texts and images to improve immersion and quality across the game.

Gameplay:

  • Failed tackles can now take longer to transition out of, with hard tackles being most impacted, to reduce repeated immediate tackle attempts.

Ultimate Team:

  • Fixed an issue where claiming Premium Pass rewards did not function correctly in specific cases.

Career Mode:

  • Updated the list of available ICONs in Player Career mode, with activation through a Server Release shortly after the update.

General, Audio, and Visual:

  • Updated various button callouts, hairstyles, kits, equipment, stadium visuals, trophies, badges, ad boards, and corrected placeholder text and images.

EA SPORTS FC 25 is a football simulation game developed and published by EA Sports, marking the second entry in the EA SPORTS FC series. Released on 27 September 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, the title continues to build on decades of football simulation heritage.
