EA Sports FC 26 Update 1.0.4 Fixes Finesse Shots, Tackling Issues, and Goalkeeper Animations

by Ali Haider

Electronic Arts has shared the details on the upcoming v1.0.4 update for EA Sports FC 26, introducing several important gameplay fixes aimed at improving player responsiveness and realism. This update primarily resolves issues affecting tackling mechanics, finesse and trivela shots, and goalkeeper animations. Notably, players using certain PlayStyles such as Bruiser will now find tackling more reliable and consistent across matches.

The developers have also reverted the defensive positioning adjustments introduced in version 1.0.2, but this change only applies to Authentic Gameplay mode, leaving Competitive gameplay untouched. The update additionally fine-tunes shot mechanics, ensuring finesse shots now curve correctly while removing instances where trivela shots triggered unintentionally. Goalkeeper responsiveness and blocking animations have also been enhanced to make defensive play feel smoother and more authentic.
