EA is currently working on multiple unannounced titles based on Disney and Marvel IP alongside Star Wars Jedi 3, according to a new report.
In an interview with Variety, EA Entertainment president Laura Miele revealed that EA’s current slate tied to Disney and Marvel IP includes the upcoming Star Wars Jedi 3 from developer Respawn Entertainment, large-scale mobile title Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, as well as an Iron Man game and “a few others that haven’t been announced yet.”

Miele further mentioned that the idea is to maintain a “really strong balance in our portfolio” while shaping EA’s future in “massive online communities.” She talked about games like The Sims, Apex Legends, Battlefield and Skate, which she termed as “significant investments.” According to her, there is significant time, energy and focus to get these games and platforms right. She further mentioned that EA is doing new things with its massive online communities, so when the company assess its resources, priorities, teams, it is striking the right balance of investing in the aforementioned online communities with EA’s brands and IP. She also talked about partnering with an incredibly rich, amazing IP like Star Wars for the action role-playing game category, which the company still finds really strong. Ultimately, the EA Entertainment resident is quite confident in the company’s ability to execute in this space.
As for the potential to bring the Apex Legends franchise to TV or film, Miele said that players “don’t have all the backstory, the history, and there’s just rich worlds and rich history with these characters and these legends that can come to life through linear media and partnerships,” Additionally, she mentioned that EA is “pretty motivated to do that, and doing it in a way that really respects and upholds the brand and the franchise.”
