In its review for Battlefield 6, Edge praises DICE for successfully reviving the classic spirit of Battlefield’s multiplayer. As per the review, the game delivers the large-scale, emergent chaos that defines the series, where every explosion or dogfight feels player-driven and spontaneous. However, Edge notes that the single-player campaign drags the experience down, following a dated structure reminiscent of early-2010s Call of Duty titles.

Meanwhile, Ninja Gaiden 4 is described as an example of PlatinumGames’ flair for intensity taken to an exhausting extreme. The combat system is finely honed and often exhilarating, but the game suffers from monotony due to its relentless pace and lack of variety. Despite moments of spectacle, Edge states that the overlong levels and recycled environments show that the game runs out of ideas well before the credits roll. The review also points out erratic difficulty spikes caused by uneven checkpointing.

By contrast, Edge hails Hades 2 as another triumph for Supergiant Games, combining elegant art direction with deeply engaging roguelike systems. According to the review, each weapon and spell encourages new tactical approaches, while the interplay of boons, upgrades, and passive effects keeps every run distinct. Edge especially praises how combat, progression, and narrative intertwine within the game’s mythological setting, where even objectives are framed as prophecies or divine tasks. While the review finds the boss design somewhat lacking in long-term appeal, it highlights the game’s Oath of the Unseen system for refreshing encounters and maintaining challenge.
