The newly released downloadable content for Elden Ring Nightreign has achieved a significant commercial milestone, with From Software confirming that The Forsaken Hollows expansion has surpassed two million units shipped worldwide. The studio shared the update through an official message on X, noting the strong engagement from players across all supported platforms.
In the message posted on its official account, the company stated, “The worldwide cumulative shipment figure for ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN The Forsaken Hollows has surpassed 2 million units. We extend our deepest gratitude to all users who are currently playing this title. We sincerely hope that you continue to enjoy the new battles fought by the Nightfarers. Thank you very much for your continued support.”
Elden Ring Nightreign serves as a cooperative roguelike action RPG set within the established world of the original title. Instead of exploring vast open environments, players move through repeatable expedition-based missions designed around teamwork and specialized character roles. The spin-off launched on May 30, 2025, for major platforms including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox systems. The Forsaken Hollows expansion followed on December 4, 2025, introducing a new Shifting Earth map, crystalline biomes, additional bosses inspired partly by past Souls entries, and two new playable classes called the Scholar and the Undertaker.
The franchise continues to be a commercial powerhouse. As of April 2025, the base game, Elden Ring, has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. Its expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, which dropped in June 2024, has moved over 10 million units. On top of that, Nightreign has topped 5 million sales in just two months since its launch. With all these numbers combined, total franchise sales are now over 45 million units, and the latest DLC hitting this milestone is another clear victory in this ongoing success story.
