PlayStationSize on Twitter/X has revealed the pre-load date and download size for Elden Ring Nightreign on PS4 and PS5, courtesy of recent database entries made to PlayStation servers. The upcoming action role-playing game will take up a modest amount of storage space. That said, those with limited available space on the internal storage drive are advised to clear up some space in advance. It goes without saying that storage expansion options are available for those who need them.

The pre-load for Elden Ring Nightreign will come with the latest update i.e. version 1.01/1.001.000, pre-installed for anyone who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though a day one update may be rolled out closer to release on May 30, 2025. Meanwhile, those who purchased the game on disc will likely be required to download the update. The size of the PS5 version of Elden Ring Nightreign (21.156 GB) is approximately the same as that of the PS4 version (21.176 GB).
The review embargo for Elden Ring Nightreign is expected to be lifted close to launch day. While the exact time has not been confirmed, it will likely follow typical patterns, with the embargo lifting at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET / 9 AM CET.
