FromSoftware has rolled out a new update for Elden Ring Nightreign, bringing the game to App Version 1.01.1 and Regulation Version 1.01.2. This patch, which applies to all major platforms including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, introduces key gameplay refinements, bolsters rewards for solo players, and resolves a long list of technical issues.
For players engaging in single-player expeditions, a new mechanic titled “Automatic Revival Upon Defeat” has been introduced. This grants a one-time revival during night boss battles, providing much-needed resilience when facing high-difficulty encounters alone. Additionally, the amount of runes acquired in solo play has been increased to further incentivize independent progression.
On a broader scale, the update improves the odds of obtaining high-rarity Relics during Expeditions, particularly upon reaching Day 3 and through purchases made at the Small Jar Bazaar. This change offers more consistent rewards for invested players and encourages deeper exploration during each run.
A significant number of bug fixes and mechanical adjustments have also been implemented. These include issues with camera behavior, character skills, magic effects, and weapon functionalities. Notable fixes correct the unintended damage values for certain weapon types, ensure the proper activation of status ailments like Bleeding and Frostbite, and resolve animation bugs related to skills such as “Moonlight Greatsword,” “Black Blade,” and “Bloody Slash.” Various UI, audio, and stability problems on select platforms have also been addressed, particularly regarding Expedition connectivity, HUD visibility, and rendering errors.
On PC, Steam-specific changes target issues related to graphics rendering at low settings, as well as climbing interactions using either keyboard or gamepad. These adjustments aim to improve usability for players using a range of hardware configurations.
