Elden Ring Nightreign Update 1.02 Adds Duo Expeditions and Revamps Everdark Cycle

by Ali Haider

FromSoftware is deploying Elden Ring Nightreign Patch 1.02 on July 31, 2025, following a brief delay due to safety concerns. This latest update introduces a major new feature called “Duo Expeditions,” allowing players to partner up and face Nightreign’s horrors together in a cooperative setting. Alongside this mode, quality-of-life improvements include enhanced UI filtering options for relics, offering players greater flexibility when managing their gear.

Additionally, the Everdark Sovereign cycle is receiving a significant overhaul. Beginning with this update, players will face empowered versions of the game’s toughest foes: Nightlords Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog. These new variants are expected to bring elevated difficulty and dark surprises across the shifting realm of Limveld, reinforcing the roguelike survival atmosphere that defines Nightreign.
