The next mystery game in the Epic Games Store giveaway has been confirmed as Ghostrunner 2, a popular first-person action game.
Unlike the previous games, there wasn’t any leak until the last hour when Ghostrunner 2 was revealed. The leaker who had been sharing details on the giveaway seems to have made a mistake with the last hint and has since stopped giving hints.
In the absence of hints or leaks, reputable insider Billbil-kun shared that the new game for December 26 would be Ghostrunner 2. It’s available for PC and consoles and was previously given away for free through Amazon Prime and Epic Games Store. It has also been available on various subscription services like Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus. If you haven’t played it yet, it’s a great game to pick up.
Ghostrunner 2 will be available until December 27, 5 PM CET, and once you claim it, you can keep it forever.
Ghostrunner 2 is a hardcore first-person slasher set a year after the events of Ghostrunner. It immerses players in a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk future. After the fall of the tyrant Keymaster, Jack returns to face a violent AI cult outside Dharma Tower, humanity’s last refuge. The game features thrilling katana combat, deeper world exploration, nonlinear levels with motorbike sections, and interactive boss fights. Players can become the ultimate cyber ninja, using new skills and a revamped progression system for creative and challenging encounters.
Ghostrunner 2 is now available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S|X. If you prefer to use Steam over the Epic Games Store, you can purchase it there, and it’s currently being offered at a discount. The game was developed by One More Level and published by 505 Games.
