Just as every other month, the Epic Games Store will offer a weekly lineup of free games for June, 2023. This article discusses all the rumored and confirmed available games.

As is usually the case, a free game or two are given away as part of EGS’ weekly promotion. Next week’s games will be available on the Epic Games Store between June 15 and June 22, 2023. Those who’d like to grab them should be mindful of the duration of their availability.

Guacamelee! 2, developed and published by DrinkBox Studios, is a platform video game in the Metroidvania genre. It serves as a sequel to the original Guacamelee! title. The game initially launched in August 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Windows platforms, followed by a release on Nintendo Switch on December 10. Subsequently, the Xbox One version became available on January 18, 2019.

Guacamelee! 2 is an exciting Metroidvania platform game where players assume the role of Juan Aguacate, a luchador who engages in combat using punches, kicks, and wrestling grapples. Throughout the game, Juan regains many of his powers from the previous installment, which have both combat and movement functionalities. Take, for instance, the Rooster Uppercut, a powerful move that not only allows vertical mobility but also deals a crushing blow to enemies above and shatters like-colored obstacles.

Each special move is associated with a distinct color that envelops Juan when utilized. For instance, the Rooster Uppercut is linked to the color red, causing Juan’s outline to turn red when executed. By completing challenges presented by trainers scattered across the game world, Juan also learns new techniques, including more devastating attacks and enhanced health.
