Euro Truck Simulator 2’s 1.57 update is now live, introducing one of the game’s most substantial refreshes in recent years. The long awaited overhaul of the Scandinavia DLC brings modern map standards to the region, featuring updated textures, redesigned junctions, new rest stops, and the addition of Aarhus, Karlstad, and a completely rebuilt Copenhagen. Alongside this, HDR support enhances visual clarity for compatible displays, while navigation improvements provide smoother, more consistent control across all resolutions.
The update expands the trucking experience with dynamic cargo loading and unloading, initially available for logging trailers and later coming to more depots and cargo types. Significant upgrades arrive for Scania R and S trucks, including new SUPER engines, V8 powertrains, and Smart Dash interiors. Several DLCs also receive new cargoes, configurations, and enhancements, while company logos, paint jobs, and trailer suspension controls round out a wide range of quality-of-life additions.
