With Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 approaching its November 14, 2025, release, Activision has begun outlining which content from Black Ops 6 will carry over into the next installment. This move is consistent with the franchise’s recent strategy of maintaining continuity between yearly entries, allowing players to retain certain cosmetics and progression items across titles. The latest update sheds light on several confirmed carry-forward elements, including pre-order rewards, character skins, and Zombies-related unlockables.
The Guild Override pre-order camo will return in Black Ops 7, along with all previously earned 2XP tokens, ensuring that players can continue to benefit from accumulated experience boosts. In the Zombies mode, all Gobblegums will carry forward as well, including the Jacked Lanterns whimsical variant.
Several operator cosmetics will also make the transition, such as Samuels — “New Orders”, Maya — “Trophy Collector”, Weaver — “Jackknife”, Carver — “PhDeadly”, and Grey — “Blood, Sweat, and Gears”. However, one previously planned operator, Reznov, has been officially cancelled and will not appear in the upcoming release.
Beyond confirmed items, there are ongoing discussions about potential “Legacy Weapons” for Zombies mode. Classic firearms such as the PPSH-41 and Olympia are being evaluated for inclusion, though no final decision has been made. Should they return, these iconic weapons would serve as nostalgic additions for long-time fans of the series.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is being co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, continuing the Black Ops narrative with a campaign set in 2035. Players will follow a JSOC unit led by David “Section” Mason, exploring the aftermath of previous Black Ops operations in a world teetering on the brink of geopolitical chaos. The title will be released across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC (via Steam, Battle.net, and Xbox on PC), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Moreover, it will debut day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
