Sony Interactive Entertainment and Haven Studios upcoming multiplayer game, Fairgames, has been delayed to the year 2026, based on a new report.
During the latest episode of the Game Mess Decides podcast, co-host Jeff Grubb, who is known for his connections in the game industry, discussed the titles that Sony Interactive Entertainment is planning to publish in 2025. Based on his informed speculation, the lineup is made up of Lost Soul Aside, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Marathon, and Ghost of Yotei. He termed it as a “light” year for PlayStation Studios titles, and cautioned fans to not expect anything else from the company in 2025.

According to Grubb, 2026 is the year when a lot of projects that are in development at PlayStation Studios will see the light of day, including the likes of Marvel’s Wolverine and Saros. He also brought up Haven Studios’ live service game, Fairgames, and said that it has been delayed to 2026. He said that Sony Interactive Entertainment is in a “weird” place with a lot of its upcoming first-party titles. That said, according to Gameindustry.biz’s Chris Dring, internal reception for the competitive heist game are very positive.
Based on what Grubb has heard, it appears that Sony Interactive Entertainment is debating between hosting a full-fledged PlayStation Showcase or another State of Play presentation for its event for the summer of 2025. As per him, if the company does go ahead with a showcase, it will have a lot of announcements and games to show. At that point, fans can expect to see more of games like Marvel’s Wolverine, Saros, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and perhaps a teaser for Bungie’s unannounced title.
As for Bungie’s Marathon, Grubb mentioned that the reason behind it being a no-show at the recent State of Play was because the developer will be looking to hold its own presentation to show the game sometime in April, 2025.
