Fatal Frame II Remake Update 1.03.03 Fixes Progression Bugs

Koei Tecmo has released update 1.03.03 for Fatal Frame II Crimson Butterfly Remake, addressing several progression blocking issues across multiple chapters. The patch resolves key bugs involving character movement and item acquisition, ensuring smoother gameplay flow.

In addition to these fixes, the update corrects Photo Mode inconsistencies, adjusts camera settings behavior, and improves overall stability. A number of smaller bugs and text issues have also been addressed, refining the overall experience.

  • Fixed incorrect application of Motion Blur settings between Camera Obscura and normal gameplay
  • Fixed display issue with Outfits During Movies settings
  • Fixed incorrect linkage between Photo Mode camera settings and Options menu settings
    • Vertical and horizontal camera settings were previously applied incorrectly
  • Fixed issue where Purging Special Shot did not increase Special Shots Taken count in Play Record
  • Fixed incorrect calculation conditions for unlocking Extensive Protection

  • Implemented fixes to improve overall game stability

  • Corrected various text issues
  • Addressed other minor bugs affecting gameplay and systems

Fatal Frame II Crimson Butterfly Remake update 1.03.03 was released on March 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of this update is scheduled to release soon.
