For the uninitiated, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is the first new installment in the Fatal Fury series in 26 years, it serves as a direct continuation of 1999’s Garou: Mark of the Wolves. The game is set to launch on April 24, 2025, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. City of the Wolves retains the core 2D combat mechanics of its predecessor while introducing refinements and new features. Familiar gameplay elements from Mark of the Wolves are making their return, including the TOP system, now called the Selective Potential Gear (SPG) system, and the Just Defense mechanic, which has been expanded into Hyper Defense to guard against multi-hit attacks.
