FBC Firebreak Hotfix v1.6.3 Eases Difficulty Spikes and Fixes Objectives

by Ali Haider

Remedy Entertainment has released hotfix v1.6.3 for FBC Firebreak, addressing several gameplay issues introduced in the previous update. The patch focuses on fixing unintended difficulty spikes, particularly in the Survive the Hiss and Recovery objectives. Alongside difficulty balancing, it also resolves bugs tied to subtitles and enemy behavior.

Players can expect smoother progression in objective-based events, with reduced enemy spawn rates and adjusted enemy health levels. The hotfix is currently live on Steam, Epic Games Store, and PlayStation 5, while Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC are set to receive the update within 24 hours.

Full Patch Notes (v1.6.3):

  • Fixed an issue with the Lab Rat voice pack subtitles not displaying correctly (Brazilian Portuguese still pending).
  • Fixed a bug where the Survive the Hiss objective would not end, leading to endless enemy waves.
  • Corrected an issue where Powerful Enemies appeared too early in Survive the Hiss; they now spawn at the event’s conclusion as intended.
  • Lowered enemy spawn rate in the Recovery objective event.
  • Reduced health of Hiss Ranger (Airborne).
  • Decreased the number of resilient enemies in Normal and Easy Threat Levels.
