Here’s a first look at the massive Battle Royale map for EA and Battlefield Studios’ upcoming first-person shooter, Battlefield 6.

9 minutes of gameplay footage from the Battlefield 6 Battle Royale map has been leaked ahead of an official reveal by bilibili user Misako_Mikato_01 (via Reddit user ZamnBoii). The footage confirms that the mode will feature a large-scale map, the ability to swim and go underwater, and a ladder gadget that appears to have two modes i.e. ramp and ladder.

The aforementioned 9 minutes of gameplay footage from the Battlefield 6 Battle Royale mode can be seen below.

The map looks to be in an unfinished state in the above footage. It seems massive in terms of scale, but also somewhat empty. Much like in other Battle Royale games, there will undoubtedly be several points of interest on Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale map. The key here differentiator is that the buildings and environments in EA’s upcoming first-person shooter are largely destructible.

EA and Battlefield Studios recently confirmed that Battlefield Labs testing has officially resumed as the team prepares Battlefield 6 for its launch. The testing initiative, first introduced during the Open Beta period, will now return with new content. The developers stated that Battlefield Labs is a space for experimentation where work-in-progress ideas can be tested in a closed environment. Players who sign up will encounter builds that may still be in alpha state, with the goal of refining balance, stability, and feature accessibility before release. As the studio explained, this testing allows for quicker adjustments in response to community input. A key highlight of upcoming sessions will be the introduction of the Portal’s Server Browser. This feature, appearing in limited form through the Community tab, will allow players to test hosting and joining experiences with early customization options.

Battlefield 6 is set for release on October 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
