Filming for the upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie appears to be moving ahead, and fans are already getting a glimpse at two of its most iconic characters. Recent photos circulating online have given viewers a first look at Cody Rhodes as Guile and Noah Centineo as Ken Masters.
Rhodes, who is best known for his wrestling career, teased his role through a shadowy image that offered just enough to reveal Guile’s distinctive flat-top hairstyle. Meanwhile, Centineo was spotted in what appeared to be a set photo taken at a beach. The actor was seen sporting long blond hair in line with Ken’s signature look, though the picture had less of an official teaser quality and more of a candid nature.
The Street Fighter film is being developed by Legendary and distributed by Sony Pictures, with Kitao Sakurai attached as director following the departure of Talk to Me creators Danny and Michael Philippou. Initially slated for a March 2026 release, the project has since been delayed indefinitely, though production seems to be progressing despite the lack of a confirmed date.
The cast list brings together a mix of wrestlers, actors, and musicians, creating a diverse lineup to portray the franchise’s colorful roster. Alongside Rhodes and Centineo, the film features Andrew Koji as Ryu, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, 50 Cent as Balrog, Orville Peck as Vega, Andrew Schulz as Dan, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, and Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim.
Street Fighter remains one of Capcom’s most successful video game franchises, dating back to its debut in 1987. The series hit mainstream recognition with Street Fighter II in 1991, which helped establish the one-on-one fighting game genre. As of March 2025, the franchise has sold over 56 million units worldwide, cementing its place as one of the best-selling and longest-running fighting series in gaming history.
With filming underway and the first visual teases now emerging, fans will no doubt be watching closely for more concrete updates. While the release date remains uncertain, the scale of the cast and the enduring popularity of Street Fighter suggest that the movie will draw significant attention once it reaches the big screen.
