A first look at the “PS5 Pro Enhanced” label that will be present on PS5 game boxes to indicate support for the mid-gen console can be seen in the image below.
Recently, it was revealed that the PS5 Pro does not support faceplates for the PS5 Slim. The Amazon Japan store page for the PS5 Pro contains an infographic indicating that the upcoming console does not support PS5 Slim faceplates. Twitter/X user farfanetz noted that, going by the official photos of the 30th Anniversary Editions from Sony Interactive Entertainment for both consoles, there is a difference of around 1 to 2 inches between the top faceplates. However, the bottom faceplates for both the PS5 Pro and the PS5 Slim are a match. Those who are in possession of special edition faceplates for the PS5 Slim will be disappointed to know that they won’t be compatible with the PS5 Pro.
