Microsoft has confirmed that five games will be removed from the Xbox Game Pass catalog in January 2025, impacting players across console, PC, handheld, and cloud platforms. The outgoing titles span multiple genres, ranging from action role-playing games to narrative adventures and family-friendly platformers, giving subscribers limited time to finish or revisit these experiences before they depart the service.
Among the titles leaving is Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, an action RPG developed by A44 Games. The game blends melee combat, firearms, and magical movement, following protagonist Nor Vanek and her companion Enki in a world overrun by gods. Released in July 2024, the title launched day one on Xbox Game Pass and supported play across Xbox Series X and S, PC, handheld devices, and cloud streaming.
Neon White is also scheduled to leave in January. The fast-paced first-person action platformer combines shooting with speed-focused movement mechanics built around collectible cards. Originally released in 2022 and later arriving on Xbox platforms in July 2024, the game has been accessible through Game Pass on console, PC, and cloud supported devices.
The list also includes Road 96, a narrative-driven adventure centered on procedurally generated road trips through the fictional nation of Petria. Available on Xbox Game Pass for several years, the game supports console, PC, handheld, and cloud play.
The Ascent, a cyberpunk-themed isometric action RPG, is another confirmed departure. Known for its cooperative gameplay and dense futuristic setting, the title has been part of the Xbox ecosystem since its 2021 release. It supports both solo and multiplayer play across console, PC, and cloud platforms.
Rounding out the list is The Grinch Christmas Adventures Merry and Mischievous Edition. This family-oriented platformer, which includes additional content beyond the base game, has been available on Xbox Game Pass across multiple device types. Its January exit concludes the group of five confirmed removals, giving subscribers a clear deadline to access these games before they leave the catalog.
