Microsoft and Playground Games have released the official PC system requirements for Forza Horizon 6, outlining multiple performance tiers ahead of the game’s launch on May 19, 2026.

The specifications are divided across four presets, ranging from minimum to extreme ray tracing configurations. At the lower end, players will need an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 paired with a GeForce GTX 1650 or equivalent GPU to run the game at 1080p and 60 FPS on low settings. The minimum requirement also calls for 16GB of RAM and an SSD.

For a higher fidelity experience, the recommended specifications target 1440p at 60 FPS or higher. This setup includes an Intel Core i5-12400F or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, alongside a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6700 XT. Memory requirements remain at 16GB, with an SSD still required.

At the top end, the extreme preset is designed for 4K gameplay at 60 FPS or more, requiring an Intel Core i7-12700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X, paired with GPUs such as the RTX 4070 Ti or Radeon RX 7900 XT, along with 24GB of RAM and an NVMe SSD. An additional extreme RT tier pushes ray tracing further, recommending newer hardware, including the RTX 5070 Ti or Radeon RX 9070 XT, alongside 32GB of RAM for 4K upscaled gameplay with ray tracing enabled.

Across all configurations, the game supports Windows 10 and 11 version 22H2 or later, and requires SSD storage as a baseline. Key PC features include support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 3 and 4, and Intel XeSS 2.1, along with ultrawide monitor compatibility, uncapped frame rates, and ray-traced reflections and global illumination. The game will also support a wide range of input options, including controllers and racing wheels, and is playable on handheld devices such as the Steam Deck and the Xbox ROG Ally.

Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan, featuring what developers describe as the largest and most dense map in the series. The open world includes a stylized version of Tokyo alongside landmarks such as Mount Fuji and Shibuya Crossing. The game will launch on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass, with a PlayStation 5 version planned for later in 2026.
