Playground Games has officially revealed the world map for Forza Horizon 6, offering a closer look at the scale and setting of its upcoming open-world racer. Shared via the official Forza Horizon account, the map highlights a Japan-based environment that spans urban and mountainous regions.
In its announcement, the studio stated, “This is Horizon Japan! From the iconic downtown streets of Tokyo City all the way to the snowy Japanese Alps, #ForzaHorizon6 introduces our most dense and vertical map yet.” The message also invited players to explore the variety of roads across the landscape, from city streets to winding mountain passes.
The newly revealed map showcases the game’s setting, which is a large-scale interpretation of Japan. The urban area, centered around Tokyo, is described as being significantly larger than in previous entries. Additionally, the surrounding regions extend into the Japanese Alps and include Touge roads specifically designed for drifting.
Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled to launch on May 19, 2026, for Xbox Series X S and PC, with a PlayStation 5 release planned later in the year. The game will feature more than 550 vehicles at launch, including the 2025 GR GT Prototype as its cover car, and introduces a new R-Class category aimed at track-focused performance.
The Standard Edition will be priced at $69.99 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. A Premium Edition, priced at $119.99, includes four days of early access beginning May 15, 2026.
