Four Games Set to Leave PS Plus in January 2026

by Ali Haider

Four games are currently listed as leaving the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers in January 2026, marking another rotation of titles within Sony’s subscription service. While an exact removal date has not yet been confirmed, these departures traditionally occur around the middle of the month, giving subscribers limited time to start or complete the affected games.

The titles set to leave the service are Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, SD Gundam Battle Alliance, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and Monopoly Plus. All four are available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers at the time of writing, but will no longer be accessible once they are removed from the catalog unless purchased separately.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is an action-adventure spin-off in the long-running Like a Dragon series. The game launched on November 9, 2023, and follows a more focused narrative compared to the mainline entries. It is available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

SD Gundam Battle Alliance is an action RPG featuring Super Deformed versions of iconic Mobile Suits from across the Gundam universe. Released on August 25, 2022, the game combines fast-paced combat with a stylized presentation and appeals strongly to fans of the franchise.

Sayonara Wild Hearts, first released in September 2019, offers a very different experience. The rhythm-based action game is known for its distinctive visual style and music-driven gameplay. It has been available on several platforms over the years, including a PlayStation 5 release in February 2025.

The fourth title, Monopoly Plus, is a digital version of the classic board game that originally launched in 2014. While less recent than the other games on the list, it remains a popular casual option for local and online multiplayer sessions.

These removals come as PlayStation Plus continues to evolve. Sony has already confirmed that starting in January 2026, there will be a reduced emphasis on PlayStation 4 titles across all subscription tiers. This shift will place a stronger focus on PlayStation 5 games, affecting both monthly offerings and the broader Game Catalog available through Extra and Premium.
