Gears of War Reloaded Update Adjusts Gnasher and Adds VRR Support on Xbox

by Ali Haider

The latest update for Gears of War Reloaded has gone live, bringing balance changes and technical improvements across all platforms. The update focuses heavily on the iconic Gnasher shotgun, with mid-range damage reduced by 15 percent to address player feedback, while close-range power remains untouched. In addition, the shotgun’s pellet spread when aiming down sights is now wider than at launch, though still tighter than in the beta, making its use more skill-dependent.

Beyond weapon tuning, the patch delivers stability fixes to reduce rare crashes and bugs, ensuring a smoother experience. On the technical side, ultrawide 21:9 support has been added for benchmark mode, while Xbox Series X|S players can now enjoy Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support in campaign mode, further enhancing visual performance.
