Polyphony Digital is bringing 3 new cars to Gran Turismo 7 in update 1.62 next week on August 29, 2025, and here are the patch notes.
According to the Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi, update 1.62 for Gran Turismo 7 is planned to arrive next week on August 29, 2025, starting 10 PM PT, and it will add 4 new cars to the game. He has teased the update with the usual image that reveals silhouettes of the cars, encouraging diehard fans to guess their make and model. Thus, we’ve put together a list of cars that we believe may be the ones added to the game in the coming update.

Main Features Implemented
1. Cars
– The following 4 cars have been added:
- Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept: represents Chevrolet’s vision for the brand’s future design direction. Intended to deliver performance on both public roads and racetracks, it retains classic Corvette features while embracing futuristic styling.
- Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept: pushes Chevrolet’s vision beyond the Corvette CX Concept. With an aggressive aerodynamic profile, a lowered stance, and reduced weight compared to the CX Concept, it is engineered for endurance competition.
- Renault Avantime ’02: a unique grand tourer produced between 2001 and 2003 by the French automaker Renault, with manufacturing handled by Matra. Styled under the direction of Patrick Le Quément, the car stood out as a one-box design with no B-pillars.
- AFEELA AFEELA 1 ’26: set to become the first production model from Sony Honda Mobility. Launching in 2026, this Japanese mid-size electric liftback will debut with a single configuration, offering all-wheel drive paired with one battery pack option.
GT7 was developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released on March 4, 2022, exclusively for PS4 and PS5.
