Gran Turismo 7 Spec III Update Adds New Tracks, Cars, and Features This December

Polyphony Digital has announced the free “Spec III” update for Gran Turismo 7, set to arrive this December. The update celebrates the franchise surpassing 100 million units sold worldwide, bringing with it a wave of new content for racing fans. Players will be able to test their skills on two new circuits, Yas Marina and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, alongside an expanded roster of eight new cars. Additional features such as Dunlop tires, a Data Logger, and unlimited car invitations add further depth to the experience.

Beyond new cars and tracks, the Spec III update increases the Collector Level cap and introduces several quality-of-life improvements. Weekly Challenges receive enhancements, while new events in Circuit Experience, a fresh Menu Book Seasonal Menu, new opening movie, and expanded Scapes curations round out the content. Improvements to online races also ensure a smoother multiplayer experience, keeping the competitive edge sharp for all drivers.

Gran Turismo 7 is a 2022 sim racing video game developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, it is the eighth main installment in the series and the thirteenth overall. The game also features VR support with PlayStation VR2 through a free in-game update.
